Where Can I Swim with the Manatees in Florida?

Whether you are vacationing in Florida, or you are a resident of the State of Florida, many people are interested in the marine life, and the beautiful ocean the state has to offer to anyone who visits. Many visitors are interested in learning more about the marine life, and one of the many site seeing activities which visitors to the state enjoy to take part in, is being able to swim with the dolphins and swim with the manatees (and other marine life in the state).

There are many tourist destinations which will give individuals the opportunity to learn more about the wildlife in the oceans and beaches in Florida, and there are many tourist destinations which will allow you to swim with these magnificent creatures. Probably the most notable and most well known of these tourist destinations in the State is the Sea World Theme Park, in Orlando, Florida. This park revolves around the ocean and wildlife conservation. Visitors to the park can have the opportunity to feed and swim with manatees, however, the park does charge a fee for this experience.

There are other locations which do allow visitors to swim with manatees as well. There is another Theme Park (typically for the older travellers) which is called Discovery Cove. It is also owned by Sea World, and also offers visitors the opportunity to swim with the manatees. Another location visitors or locals to Florida can go is Busch Gardens (which is a theme park in Tampa, Florida). This park is more for the rides and roller coaster attractions, but also offers a section which is maintained and geared towards teaching visitors about the importance of taking care of the animals in Florida, and how to keep them off the endangered species list. All these parks offer vistors the opportunity to swim with manatees in Florida.
